Committees

We have grown and flourished because of the volunteers who have worked together in an atmosphere of good fellowship and cooperation. The Volunteer Committees are the backbone of this society. Each committee was formed with specific purposes in mind, furthering the effectiveness the association and its membership. Make yourself a New Year’s Resolution and join one of the conference committees!

  • Annual Conference Exhibitor Committee
    • Exhibitor Registration Committee: Chair: April Dixon
      This committee will be responsible for soliciting exhibitors to the Annual Educational Conference in October and confirming exhibitor attendance by ensuring that payment was received from the said exhibitor. The committee will assemble the Exhibitor Registration packets prior to the conference; and provide wrist bands and registration packets to the Exhibitors' personnel at the onset of the conference. The Exhibitor's conference packet will include the conference schedule and the Program & Exhibitor Book

  • Annual Conference Attendee Registration Committee

    • Attendee Registration Committee Chair: Kathy Beer
      This committee will be responsible for staffing the attendee registration tables 2 days from approximately 7am- 5 pm at the Annual Educational Conference in October and to assist both the pre-registered and onsite registration attendees in: 1) confirming and/or obtaining all essential information for CEU certificates 2) assist with on-site registration payments and 3) distributing conference materials.

  • Annual Conference Decorating Committee

    • Decorating Committee: Chair: Lisa Clark
      This committee will responsible for coordinating the decorations for the Annual Educational Conference in October. This will include planning, purchasing the appropriate decorations and decorating the designated conference locations at the Marriott Northwest Hotel.

  • Annual Conference Program Committee

    • Program Committee: Chair: Frankie Sue Hernandez
      This committee will be responsible for planning and coordinating the Annual Educational Conference Program as well as securing speakers, and procurement of speakers' CV and their presentations for CEU approval submission.

  • Door Prize Sponsorship Committee

    • Door Prize Committee: Chair: Edie Gonzaba; Co- Chair: Trisha Garza
      This committee will be responsible for contacting vendors and/or businesses for door prizes for the CMSST Annual Educational Conference in October and collecting from them their donations.

    • At the Conference you will distribute the door prizes as names are called

Audit Committee

Audit Committee

CMSST Bylaws Article IV Section I: The Audit Committee, as appointed by the Board of Directors, shall present an annual review of business and finances at the annual meeting.

An Audit Committee is essential for any organization; for CMSST it helps the Boards of Directors fulfill its financial and fiduciary responsibilities to its members.
