I would like to welcome all of you and especially our new
members to CMSST. 2008 promises to be another challenging year and we hope
to improve on our successes from last year. At our January meeting, we had
35 new members join and this brings our membership total to 200 at this
time. . We had a great and successful year in 2007. Our conference last October was a big success and we owe a great deal of thanks to the 2007 board, volunteers that served on various committees, our corporate sponsors, and especially the Conference Chair, Martha Bartle. I am very happy to announce that Martha has graciously agreed to chair the conference this year and I want to thank her. I can also assure you that the 2008 board, I know I speak for all of us, is ready to work hard for you in order to have another very successful year. As in the past, our success will depend on the participation of the membership in our various committees. We need your ideas and your valuable input to insure the success of our efforts. I encourage all of you, and especially the new members, to volunteer and get involved in our various committees. We will conduct surveys among our members to learn about your needs and will strive to meet them. I am very proud to serve on the 2008 board and look forward to working with all of you.
